Saturday 9 – Ready or Not

1. When severe weather happens, generally speaking, are you ready for it?
Generally speaking, I think we do okay in severe weather. We always have some sort of candles if there were to be a power outage along with a decent amount of food to get by on.

2. If you could wake up tomorrow with a new talent, what would it be?
I would love to be able to paint or play an instrument.

3. What do you strive for in life?
Happiness and love.

4. If you were given a vacation home and you could have it anywhere, what location would you choose?
This is hard! Definitely on the beach somewhere.

5. Do you feel energized or drained by being in a group situation? If the answer is “it depends,” on what does it depend?
I’m not sure… probably drained. People annoy me, and being annoyed is draining.

6. When you’re sick do you take “sick days” or do you force yourself to continue working?
I will go to work if I can get up and get myself there as long as I won’t get anyone else sick.

7. What is your absolute favorite piece of furniture you have and why?
My favorite piece of furniture is definitely my bed! Especially now that Lo has her own and I feel like our bedroom is ours again.

8. When you go out, where do you like to go? What do you like to do?
I love to go shopping and go out to eat!

9. How’s life? Is it treating you well right now?
Great

Until Halloween! I’m kind of upset about it because it falls on a Monday this year, and I have to work late on Mondays. I am going to see if I can leave early though (which I need to do STAT before someone else tries to before me) because this will be Lo’s first Halloween where she can trick-or-treat. I’m just hoping my boss will be cool with it because I would be heart broken if I miss it.

That being said, I’ve been looking at costumes and am excited to have found costume kingdom coupons at dropdowndeals! I try to never buy online without some sort of coupon code so after narrowing down my costume choices on Costume Kingdom, I am so excited to discover that I can get great discounts on my order!

This week when I went to get Lo settled into her car seat I realized it was SOAKED but I have not been able to figure out why. Then I realized the entire floorboard along with my land rover rubber mats got really wet as well. And of course my car has started to wreak because of it!

Don’t you have when that happens?

Tonight we were headed out and I mentioned that my car was stinky from being wet and Vernon told me that I supposedly left Lo’s door wide open after getting home one evening and of course it rained that night. I have no recollection of this at all!

Also, while out tonight, I realized my debit card is missing I really hope I find it.

свети минаFriday 5: Alarming

1. What was your most memorable alarm-clock failure?
I will say this morning’s alarm clock failure because I obviously remember it best right now. Vernon’s alarm kept going off at the wrong time and he was having to reset it, but for some reason it went off 800 times at the wrong time, and of course it didn’t make a peep at the time he actually set (or tried to, anyway) it for!
2. What item recently in the news do you find most alarming?
I read today that 3,000 fish were found dead in a local pond here. Could you imagine?!
3. Of car alarms, burglar alarms, and smoke alarms, which do you consider most effective or useful?
Smoke alarms. I don’t have any experience with burglar alarms so I can’t really speak for that one but some of my coworkers cars were broken into about a year ago, all equipped with car alarms and not one of them went off.
4. If the shoplifting alarm is tripped as you exit a store, what do you do?
I look around to see if anyone is going to tell me to go ahead or if I’m okay to go, if no one acknowledges it, I just keep walking.
5. If you owned some kind of personality alarm to warn you upon first meeting someone of likely trouble in the relationship, what would be five qualities you’d set it to detect?
Lying, no sense of humor, selfishness, sticky fingers, andddd, ummm, a crazy family? HA!

Vernon and I were up late last night, and although it was a really good night I am regretting it today! For some reason his phone kept ringing at 5 o’clock this morning and it woke up Lo, who wouldn’t go back to sleep which of course meant I had to get up, too.

I feel like I’m running on about 3 hours of sleep (give or take) and I don’t know if I’ll be able to stay awake much longer. Lo needs a bath, I still need to get our neighbors some info on 5th wheel insurance (I just love being the only internet savvy person on our street), pick up around the house, do the dishes… I could go on for a while. I don’t know how much, if any, of this stuff I’ll get around to. After all, it’s Friday night and we don’t have to be anywhere until tomorrow evening. I’ll just do it tomorrow.

To top off my tiredness, I have a not only a stomach ache, but a headache as well.
