Despite having a three day weekend last week, it was still pretty crappy. I’ve been having some problems with my current roommate, and those issues had to be addressed this weekend because I simply could handle it no longer. I spent most of the weekend being bent out of shape about that, and then, on the third day of my glorious weekend I realized that my Canon Rebel XTi was no longer in it’s case and this only meant one thing: Paul stole it.

I was bent out of shape about him even being in town a week ago but this was just the icing on the cake. Whenever I would use my camera it ALWAYS made its way back into the case. I paid over $900 (including tax and a memory card) for that camera and I wasn’t about to let it get lost or broken. The case was the safest place for it to be. I kept the case in my closet because that seemed like the logical place to put it.

When he and I were living together I watched that camera constantly. I ALWAYS checked to make sure it was still in it’s place and it really chaps my ass that the ONE TIME I did not think about it, or didn’t think to check, or didn’t think to hide it, he snagged it from me. I called him up and gave him a good verbal beating, but that won’t get my camera back. It’s long gone now and I couldn’t be any sicker about it.

I once knew someone who was making bank off selling homes, and it actually seems like it would be pretty fun. Hard, but fun.

Every now and then I hear from my real estate agent and recently he asked me out to lunch. I’m not sure what sort of an invite that was, work related or friendly but I said perhaps. I don’t think I will, though. He was nice and all, but I don’t even know what the hell we would talk about.

I’ve noticed something odd about payu2blog. Whenever I am on my macbook and try to login using Firefox… I get a login error saying my username/password combination is wrong. However I can open Safari on my macbook and login just fine using the same username and password. Has anyone on OS Tiger experienced this problem?

It’s really irritating because I don’t like Safari as much as I do Firefox. I go through phases where I like it one week, and not the next.

I like Safari mainly for it’s speed… I think it’s the fastest browser I’ve ever used. Firefox seems a little laggy when you compare the two, but not so much that Firefox seems slow. On the other hand, Firefox seems far sturdier than Safari. I’ve yet to find any super awesome plugins for Safari, either. I suppose that’s because up until version 3, Safari was a mac only application.

I am interested to see where Safari will go from here!

I burnt my arm the other day while attempting to get a Tombstone pizza out of the oven (my favorite!). I like to make fun of myself because I could not cook a halfway decent meal to save my life. I guess the main problem is that I really don’t care to… There is absolutely nothing fun about cooking to me. Maybe it’s because when I do actually cook, it tastes like shit and I’m left thinking, “I just baby sat this for how long? And it tasted like THAT? And now I get to wash all of those dishes?”

I would much rather go to a loving family member’s house who has at least the slightest clue as to what they’re doing to get my belly full. I will not be learning how to cook anytime soon, and I am damn proud of it!

This week has been a piece of cake and I wish I could always get Wednesday off. It doesn’t take away from the fact that Mondays make me want to jump out a window, but maybe with the help of a 2nd designer things will be a bit easier. I’m not sure.

We actually did good this Monday and instead of getting out at our usual 11-11:30 I managed to get home by a quarter till 10. I think I was in bed and passed out before I’m usually even home.

Whew, I’m tired.

I’ve never really been a huge fan of popcorn. My dislike for it really grew when Les and I would go to the movies. I really don’t like the smell of it, and when someone insists on burping specifically in your direction while eating it.. it’s enough to make someone gag.

The other day I saw an episode of “How It’s Made” where they explained how popcorn is made. It really gave me a hankering for something I didn’t even like. I got a box of “Buttery Kettle Corn” and I admit I’m digging it so far. I guess it’s similar to how I used to shrivel up and die if I had to eat a tomato, but now I enjoy them.

I’ve been noticing lately that my little baby Lola Bean is getting all grown up. She turned a year in April, and come August I will have had her for a year. I definitely don’t miss her puppy days… all the chewing and the wining. I can actually let her run about the house when no one is home without coming home to massive amounts of damage done to wires and blankets and what have you.

Then again it’s sad to see her get bigger. I hate the idea of ever not having her around. Which is why she’s gonna live forever and ever and ever.

I’m so glad that it’s finally Tuesday and not Monday. I don’t have to work a 13 hour shift today, and if all goes well, I should be on my way home in about 3 hours. YES. I love that place, home.

In other news, not shit is going on with me. Just working as usual and being an internet addict. I’ve been trying to work on a new layout for kelleyroo. Already! Hell I don’t think this site will ever get a new one Well, maybe.. it’s just, I think the layout is so pretty and it saddens me to think I won’t be able to look at it all the time. Maybe I’ll just keep it forever, who knows.

Speaking of layouts, the internet, and my addiction I stumbled onto a handful of blogs yesterday that I adore. I was worried that there weren’t anymore sites like that out on the internet but it turns out I’ve just been doing a shitty job at blog-hopping. When you visit the links on shitty sites, they’re usually linking to other shitty sites. If you can find one good one, chances are they’ve linked to lots of cool people with great blogs. Thank you wonderful people for reinstilling my faith in the internet.

As we all know I’ve got a really bad habit of giving money to homeless strangers. There is an asian homesless man who I think is Japanese, but if I said for sure I’m sure I would be wrong. I don’t know, he’s usually covered in dirt anyhow.

I work downtown which is where I see him often. He is usually on a corner that I pass to get on the highway on my way home. I see him very randomly but once I gave him $10. I don’t know why I feel for this man so much. I mean, yes most homeless people hit me where it hurts and I never think twice about giving them what cash I have on my person.. but I almost want to talk to this man.

I saw him again last night on my way home from work and gave him another $5. We will probably reach $50 soon. All that payperposting… going to the homeless . On my way TO work I saw him again, only he wasn’t on the corner he was crossing the street. I honked and waved and I wonder if he even recognized me? For all I know this guy is cracked out of his mind and probably wondered why that stupid bitch in the red beetle keeps bothering me?

Last night Paul, Kristen, Jake and I all piled up into Paul’s cousin’s car and went bowling. Lesley ended up showing up as well which always guarantees a good time. I’m pretty indifferent about bowling. Sometimes I hate it and sometimes I love it.

My grandparents were big bowlers and for that reason I hate it. They used to drag my brother and I to the very bowling alley we were at last night a few times a week. We would be stuck there until at least 2 or 3 am, and if I remember correctly I was in third or fourth grade. My grandfather would give us 2 dollars apiece to play games with and my brother usually spent his way before I did mine. He would play games in the “gameroom” and I usually bought candy or a coke… and tried to make my food last as long as possible.

The bowling alley wasn’t anything near what it used to be, not that it was originally much… but it seemed a lot livlier back then. The eating area where Eric and I used to sleep after we were broke and bored has been turned into some sort of kitchen area to make food that they don’t even serve.

An image that has been burned into my brain is being able to look out at the lanes and see my ugly, gargantuan, bitch of a grandmother watching us from across the bowling alley. I really, really hated her.

No… really.
