Low Bid Auctions

I’ve been familiar with Ebay since what feels like the beginning of time. I used to do a lot of my shopping there, particularly around the holidays. Something interesting that I ‘ve discovered are Low Bid Auctions, where the lowest unique bid wins great prizes.

At bid4prizes you can bid on autions with items such as the Apple iPhone, a 50” Samsung Plasma TV, or a Scion XB!

Another neat thing I noticed about this website is that not only can you bid via the website, BUT, you can use your cellphone to text in your bid amount. It couldn’t be easier to try to win sweet deals through this website!

If I won anything on bid4prizes I would most likely keep it for myself, because I am selfish like that. I’m not REALLY selfish, I just can’t help it that the prizes they offer are so nice, and I wouldn’t mind having one for my self. Or all of them.

Cell phone dependancy

I got my first cellphone while I was still in high school and had just begun working as well as driving. I had a prepaid phone with T-mobile and after moving on from prepaid I stuck with T-mobile. There have been many times when I considered switching carriers, but just didn’t feel like dealing with it.

During my search Sprint was always very high in the running, mainly because I like their free incoming plans. I think it is a great option for someone like myself, who doesn’t really call out much but gets a lot of incoming calls.

It seems like Sprint also has a lot of great deals for first-time customers. It’s pretty hard to resist! Maybe one of these days I will get around to switching, my current provider isn’t exactly the cheapest, or the greatest. Why did God make me so lazy? And broke?

Don’t be silly

Insurance is definitely something I think the population in general benefits greatly from. It is almost like a security blanket, helping us to feel comfortable knowing that if the unthinkable were to happen, our health, property, and life will be taken care of.

When I applied for my home loan, it was required that I had Home Insurance before I would qualify for the loan. In the beginning I was really irritated by this because it was just one more thing that had to be care of, and that much more in over my head I was. But within a few days it was all set up and taken care of, and my home is insurred for the next year!

There have been times where I have driven without a valid license (going to refrain from mentioning when) but I have never gone without car insurance. My first car was a ’72 Beetle and truthfully, it could’ve given out on me at any point. Insurance definite must then, just as it is now with my newer car.

Another type of insurance I’ve wanted to get my hands on is for pets. God knows I would be a wreck if something were to happen to Lola Bean… I would be an absolute mess. I’ve seen commercials advertising pet insurance for as little as $10 a month!

My grandfather has a Harley Davidson motorcycle and takes fairly large trips at least twice a year. I’m sure he has Travel Insurance, and considering how long he has been doing such heavy traveling, I’m sure it has been worth it!

Life with loans

Loans are something I am definitely familiar with. I probably won’t mention how much, but I definitely have some major student loans that I will be paying off for a long time. Secured personal loans seem as though they would be helpful, but I hope I am never in a situation where I would need to back up a loan with something like my house, sounds like I would be in over my head!

In all honesty I’ve never had less than an enjoyable experience with loans and similar services. Getting a Homeowner Loan on my home was almost seamless. I provided all the necessary paperwork and jotted down my signature a few times and everything was done! Boogie is now a happy homeowner!

I don’t recommend personal loans to people who don’t think they can commit to paying off something that is so long term, however if you are good with managing your money and keeping track of things, they can definitely be a life saver!

Stone Hawk Rehab Program

Intervention is one of my favorite shows. Even though it’s really sad at times, and others I feel like someone is benefiting from others’ misfortunes, I still think it is a good way to expose viewers to the tragedy that is drug addiction and the way it touches people’s lives.

I believe it is extremely important that if someone goes to drug rehab the rehabilitation center that they go to for help is a good one. After looking at The Stone Hawk program, I think it looks like a great place because the people there were once addicts, and it seems as though they want to care for and help their patients because someone did it for them. I think it is a great way to pay it forward and possibly change someone’s life!

At Stone Hawk, over 70% of Narconon drug rehab graduates beat their drug addiction successfully. This is a big number when it comes to treatments, rehab, and overcoming addiction.
