I love my babies

In my household there is always room for dog supplies. I love my dogs, they are my babies and I will spoil them in any way possible. They bring joy into my life and I want more than anything to bring it into theirs.

When I first got Duker, he was not a fan of Paul… at ALL. He didn’t like him not one bit, so for some reason I thought it may have been because he didn’t like men, but I’ve been hanging out with a guy who it seems Duker is absolutely in love with. He follows him everywhere, it’s so sweet, and cute. :)

bambi

Lola Bean is a very nervous dog. She is very afraid of strangers and takes a pretty long time to actually warm up to them. I notice this weekend though that she did pretty well with having a few people over and it made me glad. She really warmed up to Amanda and even got a little crazy on us. It was too cute, I love my little lola.

I hate it that tomorrow is Monday though and I won’t get to even see her until well into the night.

Poor baby

Today Paul and I were throwing a ball for Lola Bean outside, like we do about 7 or 8 times a day when I noticed she started to limp. She must’ve done something funny to her leg when she was chasing after the ball. I think it may be muscular because Paul tried to see if he could figure out where it hurt, but it didn’t bother her at all.

It really breaks my heart to see my little baby limping around. I’m hoping it’ll be all better by morning… it doesn’t seem to keep her from running or having a good time so I’m not super worried by it. It just makes me really sad.

She’s not a heel biter I swear!

I love my dog Lola more than life itself. She is the cutest and sweetest thing that ever happened to me and I feel more than blessed to have her in my life. I don’t know if feeling that way is a little over the top for a pet, but I wouldn’t doubt it… I got used to being over the top long ago! I need to look into dog grooming to get her looking pretty and fresh. Not that she isn’t already!

Now that she isn’t exactly a puppy anymore, she’s chilled out a lot. She hardly ever runs her crazy circles throughout the house, and if she does she pays the price. She sliiiiides across the hardwood floors in the house, it’s pretty funny, but when she runs into things I feel bad for her.

People have mentioned before how quiet and almost nervous she has become. I really believe that pets take after her owners and it seems like she picked up some unfortunate personality traits from yours truly.

I’ve been noticing lately that my little baby Lola Bean is getting all grown up. She turned a year in April, and come August I will have had her for a year. I definitely don’t miss her puppy days… all the chewing and the wining. I can actually let her run about the house when no one is home without coming home to massive amounts of damage done to wires and blankets and what have you.

Then again it’s sad to see her get bigger. I hate the idea of ever not having her around. Which is why she’s gonna live forever and ever and ever.

The story of Lola Bean

I’ve been meaning to write about this because it is a rather interesting story, and a perfect example to back up my theory that every thing happens the way it is supposed to. As you may or may not know, my dog Lola Bean is the love of my life. She is spoiled rotten and I like it that way. She is the sweetest, cutest, BEST BEST BEST dog I’ve ever laid my brown eyes on. I love her, lots.
