T minus 10 days

I just did a bunch of Christmas shopping! Woohoo! I’ve been doing lots of online browsing for Lo but hadn’t actually decided to purchase anything until today, and it’s a big weight lifted! We’ve just been back and forth with what we wanted to get her. She’s been dying for a Buzz Lightyear toy, and I had a hard time deciding if I should get her the big plush or the super cool figure that is a replica of the one from the movies. I went with the replica!

I’m sure you’re thinking wow–what if they don’t ship in time? But one of the reasons I felt alright waiting is because I scored a FREE year long membership for ShopRunner (free two day shipping on participating sites). I ordered some electrical switch plates yesterday using my ShopRunner account and they were waiting on me when I got home!

I also got her some other great gifts. We’re going to pick out a few more smaller items along with some clothes (she is growing like a WEED! 2T tops are pretty much too small for her!) and Santa will be ready to visit Lo! I am so excited!

Janice, Jr.

Meet little baby Janice! Isn’t he just precious? They are both doing well in the hospital and should be able to go home today or tomorrow. What a perfect Christmas present! I can’t wait until Aunt Amanda, Janice, and Janice Jr. come over for Christmas dinner and to exchange presents. I’m really excited to buy gifts for the baby!

I’m not going to mention what I got Aunt Amanda since she reads my blog but I did get Janice, Sr. some dj gear after hearing that Janice was in need of some more equipment. I really hope Janice likes it, and that I got something that will be of good use!

In between work and going back and forth from the hospital, I’m trying to fit in more Christmas shopping. Lo’s baby sitter’s gifts are taken care of, as well as Mimu. Still a lot more to go!

You guys!!

AUNT AMANDA JUST HAD HER BABY!!!

As if all the pregnant ladies and women having babies isn’t enough to get my baby pangs going, Aunt Amanda had to go and have one too.

I just got back from the hospital to visit. I brought her flowers and an adult diaper or two so she doesn’t have to wear those scary hospital pads.

Lulu told me today that she had a dream I was pregnant with a baby boy. I’ve been having lots of dreams like that too, maybe it’s a sign!!

Christmas Shopping!

Although I got a bit of an early start, I lost steam and still have plenty of Christmas shopping to do. I hate that I leave it until the last minute almost every year, and it becomes a source of stress rather than something I enjoy.

I picked up a golf gps finder for my Uncle Bob that I just know he’ll love! Other people I still have to shop for are not as easy to buy gifts for, though.

To top it all off, Vernon just texted me that he’s having issues with his truck again, even though we just got it back from the shop the week of Thanksgiving. I’m really, really tired of these car troubles. If it’s not one thing, it’s another.

Stupid winter

When the weather was still nice (I miss Summer already!) we were making it a point to get out and about every weekend before it got cold and gross out. It’s not quite cold and gross yet, although it’s getting close, I’m trying to come up with a lot of fun activities that are indoors, like going to Monkey Joe’s play gym or even the Adventure Science museum again.

Lo loved when we went the first time! Her favorite parts were crawling around the model digestive system and playing with the steel drums they had for a while.

What are some of your favorite indoor activities?

Friday 5

Friday 5: Repellent

What’s something you enjoy eating that many others would be grossed-out by?
I used to gross kids at the lunch table out with my sardines, but it’s been so long since I’ve had any I might be grossed out, too! Pickles or sushi, maybe?

Which of your personal traits is most likely to make others want to avoid you?
I can be really shy and sometimes it comes off like I’m just a bitch who doesn’t want to talk to you.

If you could wear a bracelet that had the power to keep certain kinds of people away from you, what kind of people would you repel?

People who are loud and obnoxious.

We are all capable of overcoming our biases, of course, but what’s a physical trait (in others) that pretty much turns you off?

I can’t really think of one other than bad hygiene? I don’t think that counts, though.

When you feel a case of the blues coming on, what do you do to fend off the bad feelings?

Dance and sing at the top of my lungs.
