Always read the reviews!

I love reading product reviews, and I’m so glad that most websites offer user submitted reviews on the product. I have avoided buying many bad products. Currently, I’m checking out multivitamin reviews because I really need a good multivitamin. I rarely feel my best as far as energy goes and I think getting in all my vitamins would probably help! My lack of energy could just be that I’m a mom, though.

Spring

Last year I was jealous of both of our next door neighbor’s buttercups, so Vernon planted some for us! He also planted some tulips (that I am VERY excited for) but they haven’t bloomed yet. I just love spring, I wish I knew more about flowers and how to take care of them. Lucky for me, Vernon is a natural.

Can I get a redo?

Today … has not been the best day. It’s been pretty crummy, actually, and the headache that’s been lingering since I woke up this morning is not helping. I even took a nap when Lo napped, but when I woke up it was just worse. Vernon and I have pretty much been at each other’s throats, so I decided to look for batteries online since most of Lo’s toys could use some new ones.

Get help

Sometimes people find themselves in a situation where they need help, but often times find it so hard to actually come out and ask for it. When it comes to things like addiction, it isn’t always easy to get better by yourself. Inpatient rehab treatment centers are always an option, and can really turn around someone’s life.  If you know someone that you think needs help, don’t hesitate to offer it to them even if they don’t ask.

Henry

Everyone, meet Henry! He is one of our two blood parrots that lives in a 50 gallon fish tank in our living room. These fish are soo much bigger than they were when we bought them, and so mean! Lo likes to try to stick her fingers in the tank so they can nip at them.

They were originally very shy, and it’s taken me a good two years to get a decent photo of either of them, if that tells you anything about how much they hid. Now I think they’re just so big that they’re not afraid anymore and there aren’t a whole lot of hiding places left.

His mate is named Henrietta and I have no idea which one is which ;)

YEAH!

So, a couple week ends ago, Vernon and I were cleaning up a bit in the living room when we heard a loud crash come from our bedroom. He went to check on it and didn’t notice anything strange (of course) but when I went to change into some comfy clothes, I realized our light fixture had fallen completely out of the ceiling and crashed to the floor.

I was really not a fan of that light, and had been dying to have a fan in our bedroom. We entertained the idea and a friend even gave us two old ceiling fans that he no longer needed, but they are still in our garage at this very moment.

However, Vernon couldn’t stand having exposed wires or a hole in our ceiling so last weekend we went to look at some fans! I didn’t want to install the old used ones–I wanted something that matched our style. I ended up chosing a gorgeous fan from Home Depot for $100 not even realizing it was remote controlled. How cool is that?

Brother-in-law came over to help install it, and now we have a gorgeous fan in our bedroom that I am totally obsessed with!

Ready for Easter!

As much as I love the holidays and gift giving, I’m so glad that Christmas is not something we have to think about for a while. I love to give but sometimes I can get really stressed out about what to give. My grandfather probably has a very large collection of ties from me alone!

The holiday I’m really looking forward to right now is Easter. I can’t wait to take Lo to the mall to see the Easter bunny and go on an easter egg hunt! Last year I crocheted her a bunny that turned out terrible, so I don’t know if I’ll be doing that again. A child only needs so many mutated bunny rabbit dolls, right?
