Skullcandy

I could really use a pair of nice headphones. I use them almost constantly at work but I also break them constantly :( I’m not sure how it happens, or if it’s just that I always buy cheap ones from Walgreens or the checkout isle at Wal-mart. It seems like the one of the ears always dies, leaving me with just one working ear bud.

I think the next pair I buy will be by skullcandy. I’ve been eyeing those thigns for a long time, and if you look at how much I’ve spent total on crappy headphones it more than pays for a pair of nice ones!

Hardcore Pawn

One of my new favorite shows lately is Hardcore Pawn. It’s a lot like Pawn Stars only without the history lessons (that get on my nerves, to be honest). They buy gold bars and other items from people looking to make a quick buck. I once saw a woman trying to pawn her gold tooth!

The shop is located in Detroit and some of the customers can get pretty rowdy, so it’s definitely an entertaining watch if you’ve never seen it before!

Update!!

I’m super excited to share this news with you guys!

Aunt Amanda is home from rehab for her bath salt addiction! Wahoo! She is doing great. To reward herself, she’s planning on taking an awesome disney world vacation for her and little Janice, Jr.!

Speaking of that sweet baby, Jerome was sad to see her go but very happy that she’s back with her mama. Here’s a recent photo I snapped when I went to see them last week.

Hope everyone is having a good week :)

3x Thursday

3x Thursday – This is the end

1. How did 2011 treat you? Any highlights?
I’m not going to lie,  2011 has been a really hard year for us. It started off with Vernon’s dad being so ill we weren’t sure he was going to make it. Then they lost their home. Lots of sick days from work…. we’ve had lots of car trouble with Vernon’s truck, and ended the year with some not-so-great news from Lo’s cardiologist. There were a few highlights though, and I’d say the top one was our vacation to Panama City!

2.Got any specific high hopes for 2012? What are they?
That it’ll be a better year than 2011!

3. Name 3 goals for the upcoming year.
In 2012 I want to lose a little weight, GET ORGANIZED, and start saving more money!

A sad day

With the holidays in full force, it’s been a while since I updated you guys on Aunt Amanda. Unfortunately, I don’t have the greatest news. Janice, Jr. has been left with cousin Jerome while Amanda seeks bath salt abuse addiction rehab treatment. I just don’t understand how this happened.

She’s always been a very stable and logical person, so how she fell into this, I’m not sure. I know she mentioned that she read an article about this couple who used “bath salts” and that they went into a hotel and pepper sprayed everyone, including their CHILDREN, who were sitting outside on the sidewalk crying, while they were on their rampage inside.

That’s what makes it so hard to believe about all of this. She knew that stuff made people go whacko. I just hope with all my heart that she gets the help she needs for herself and for her sweet baby Janice.
