From 1 bath to 2

I own my house, and since moving in, it’s never once been complete. There’s always been a room or two that has some extra boxes or empty space waiting to be filled. Recently, I cleaned out our second bathroom that pretty much acted as a closet (in my defence, the toilet was broken. I called it into my home warranty only to have a plumber come out and fail to cover the most remedial steps *replacing the wax ring* and charge me for nothing).

The bathroom has recently been fixed and I realized how much self storage was going on in my home. I cleaned that bathroom out this weekend, only to move box after box from the bathroom to our empty spare room. I really must do something about this, however, I can’t do much considering our trash service alots ONE trashcan per househould. :(

Jump Drive, as my professor used to call it

I work at a company where everyone but the designers work from a laptop. This means that all employees but two usually take their computers home with them each day, leaving the two designers to use flash memory to transport files and data from home to work.

I can’t count the times that I’ve used my flash drive to save something from my work computer that I may need at home. I was lucky to snag a cheap 2GB drive when I was in college while my supervisor’s drive is only 128MB.

But what could he need it for? ;)

Switches & Routers

If you are in need of network switches check out networkhardware.com. Network hardware is the largest provider of Cisco and used Cisco routers, switches and accessories.

We had huge problems with our wireless router recently, and after calling our cable provider time after time and getting no help, we had a technician come out. The technician pretty much ripped us off by saying our splitter was bad (even though I was using that same splitter for a year on the other side of the house without issue). Turns out the problem was that the technician was shitty, didn’t do his job, and was solved by someone who actually felt like doing some work. Technician #2 ran some new lines and ever since  we’ve been good to go.
