advancing

For Paul’s birthday this year I got him a small MP3 player. It wasn’t anything fancy – probably the coolest thing you could do on it was change the color of the back display, but it did what it was supposed to.

It’s really crazy how far technology has come, that you can get a small and simple 2 gig mp3 player for as little as 50 dollars (if not cheaper). How awesome!

On the wagon

I am very excited – yesterday I logged into payperpost to discover that they have set the limit of paid blogs per day BACK to 3, and it’s already got me back on the ball. I’ve been complaining to myself and Les that I haven’t paid blogged in forever and considering that my room mates are gone, I should really take advantage of being able to make extra cash over the internet.

So you may notice that I am back in complete action. Wooha! Thanks ppp!

Safe and secure

After moving out of the house that I lived in with my grandfather, I moved into the big bad scary world. I learned firsthand that nothing in life is certain – the worst could happen at any moment.

This fear taught me how important it is to have insurance – health insurance, car insurance, and home insurance. When I got financed for the loan on my house, it was CRUCIAL to my lender that I paid for a year of home owner’s insurance up front, and I’m glad I found cheap home insurance. There is no worry that if the worst were to happen, I would be left with nothing.

In the state of Tennessee if you are pulled over and have no proof of insurance for your vehicle, you immediately go to jail. If you don’t have it, I suggest you compare car insurance and get yourself insured! You could wreck at any time and be left with a fat bill to take care of.

Weird…

I’ve noticed something odd about payu2blog. Whenever I am on my macbook and try to login using Firefox… I get a login error saying my username/password combination is wrong. However I can open Safari on my macbook and login just fine using the same username and password. Has anyone on OS Tiger experienced this problem?

It’s really irritating because I don’t like Safari as much as I do Firefox. I go through phases where I like it one week, and not the next.

I like Safari mainly for it’s speed… I think it’s the fastest browser I’ve ever used. Firefox seems a little laggy when you compare the two, but not so much that Firefox seems slow. On the other hand, Firefox seems far sturdier than Safari. I’ve yet to find any super awesome plugins for Safari, either. I suppose that’s because up until version 3, Safari was a mac only application.

I am interested to see where Safari will go from here!

Boots for everyone

My cousin recently bought herself a new pair of boots, and mentioned that she likes military style. After looking into it, I discovered Danner Boots. Danner Boots are high quality, moderately priced boots that come in a multitude of styles – whether you’re a police officer, hunter, or in the military, I think Danner Boots are an excellent choice.

At Copshoes.com you can find many Danner brand Boots that are great for cops and someone serving our country. Metboots.com is a great site that carries Danner boots for outdoor such as hunting and fishing as well as working out doors.

Not only are these boots amazing, but when you order over $100 shipping on your order is free!

Woah woah woooah

I got our local newspaper in the mail yesterday and it had a nice thick section of advertisements for local stores like Big Lots! and Walmart. It also had one for Lowe’s… I normally shop at Home Depot for my home improvement needs because I have a nice line of credit with them, but the Lowe’s ad had a bunch of flowers/trees/bushes that I could plant right now and have bloom by Spring.

I feel like getting dressed and rushing off to the store to see what I can find. I’ve been wanting to plant and make the yard nice, but everyone is saying to wait until Spring. I think that may just be because nobody wants to help me right now.. LOL. Oh screw ‘em!! I’ll do it all by myself.

Free Raleigh, NC Getaway

I love to visit North Carolina. I don’t know if it’s due to the emotional attachment, or if it’s actually a great state. Coming from someone who doesn’t get out of town much, I don’t know if it means a whole lot…. but I’ve been to North Carolina several times and it has never let me down.

I’ve never really been up north, but I have been out West and out of the two areas I must say that I love the South over anywhere I’ve ever been. I don’t know if it’s the sense of culture or if it’s just because the South is home… but Raleigh, NC is the place to go if you are looking to get away in the South for reasonable prices. There is also plenty to on a FREE Raleigh Getaway for fall. I would love to visit the NC Shakespeare Festival. My ex had a friend who would often perform in shows that were put on there… Raleigh is truly the hidden treasure of the South!

If you are wanting to get away, look no further than Raleigh, NC! At visitraleigh.com you can get your hands on a packaged trip to Raleigh that includes a $25 gift certificate to Bloomsbury Bistro, VIP admission to two Rum Runners, two tickets to the North Carolina Theatre and more!! With my vacation quickly approaching, I am definitely Fall Getaway… aren’t you? How could you not want to see Landscapes from the Age of Impressionism?
