I got my elgato TV hybrid and today I wipped out some audio/video cables and decided to see if I could get my old Sharp Viewcam hooked up through my computer to convert it to digital video. And what do you know, trusty dusty eyetv worked like a charm. I’m really excited to be able to convert my videos now, even though I don’t really have any worth converting.

Yesterday or the day before I got my hands on Lilly Allen’s album. I really dig her style and some of her songs. I can’t seem to listen to the entire album though without having to skip a few songs. Some of them just don’t appeal to me… it’s like one minute I’m listening to something really cool and original but the next it sounds sort of like… Britney Spears on crack or something. I’m not sure, it’s hard to explain… I just can’t get into some of the super pop beats because it makes the song seem as though I’ve already heard it before. Most likely because I have.
I guess I still give her a thumbs up for being pretty cool.
I just can’t get enough of Hollywood gossip. I’m not sure why, I’ve never been that interested in celebrities, the life of a star has never been one that I desire.
It’s almost sad in a way though, that the lives of famous people are put on blast by just about every form of media you can think of. At the same time, you would think this would be motivation for celebs like Lindsay and Paris to keep there ducks in a row. Instead they party hard, get wasted, and arrested for everyone in the world to see. I don’t guess there’s anything sad about that.
You also have your celebrities that just won’t give up. I read today that the Backstreet Boys are going to release another album. For starters, who do they think is going to purchase this album? This is just as bad if not worse than the whole Spice Girls reunion. Why are people allowing them to milk their fame for just a little longer?
I finally shipped back the Treo 600. I had a whole 30 days to ship it back and of course I put it off until the last minute, forcing myself to pay top dollar to make sure it gets returned quickly enough. July 30th would make 30 days so I just barely made it! It should be arriving tomorrow around noon. I had to fill out a form with info on the exchange, and at the very end it states, “Upon receipt the item will be examined and the defect you list below must be confirmed. So please be very specific. If a defect is not confirmed it will be returned back to you at your expense.”
I am also just noticing that on the same form it says that a tracking number is required. I didn’t request an individual tracking number, but on my express mail receipt it has a barcode and number on it that I believe is the tracking number. When I try to track it, the website says there is no record of this item. I also mailed it about 2 hours ago so I’m hoping it’s just not in the system yet. I can already feel my blood beginning to boil. What stupid policies, if I don’t get a refund I think it just may be a cold day in hell.
Edit: I called and confirmed that the express mail did come with a tracking number. Thank you jesus!
