The Strike

Seinfeld has been one of my favorite shows for a long time. I believe I’ve seen close to every episode, if not every single one of them. It is so hilarious.. in one of my favorite episodes, George gives a coworker yankees tickets as a Christmas gift. In return he receives a slip of paper saying that some amount of money has been donted to a charity in his name. Baffled, George decides to make his own charity and donate fake amounts of money for other people as gifts. Too funny.

Sew, a needle pulling thread

I finally set up my sewing machine. I really, really reallllly want to get back to that. I’m just not sure where to start, I’d like to go to the store and stock up on a few things, and maybe get my hands on an iron/board. I want to make a bunch of cool things, dresses, shirts, skirts, hell gauchos seem like they’d be simple enough… I want to get better at knitting. Maybe knit a bunch of stuff and sell it to some hippies. I don’t know!

I’ve been dabbling in sewing for as long as I can remember and I think it’s time to really sit down and get good at it.

Bubsy the boogermobile

Kristen’s been working on her car for a while now. I’ve seen her painting it and cleaning it… messing with its parts, and all sorts of things. There’s definitately no shortage of Automotive detailing supplies around my house. It will be interesting to see when she’s got it all done. Being around an older car like that really makes me miss my beetle. Sniffle.

Bringing home the bacon

My grass was getting really, really long, but luckily my grandfather stopped by with an early birthday present this morning. He got me a brand new self propelled push mower :) I can happily say that I will most likely need a riding mower as well because my yard is pretty big to push. I still appreciate the awesome gift, though. I came home and Paul had mowed most of the yard, and did a really good job making it look pretty. I love my little housewife!

Gone to Jackson

I’ve never really had my own luggage set. I’ve always sort of wanted one, and I’m not real sure why because I don’t exactly do that much traveling. It just seems like it would be nice to have, with all the matching pieces and spots to put your things. It would really give me the feeling that I could just packup and runaway…

Run lola run

Lola Bean is getting so smart! She’s really really good at the whole fetch thing and totally loves it. She’s also getting good at her little pit bull trick where she hangs on to the stick while being lifted into the air. She loves to chase tennis balls as well, and by the time we get inside she’s trying to rip and chew them apart like a raw hyde. I’ve had to start taking them away from here…

We’re trying to teach her not to just run out the door when we’re going outside. This wasn’t an issue before but we’ve become a little to comfortable in the house and I don’t want her running outside without my permission. She’s catching on slowly. She’s all grown up! <3

Do what you can

In the case of a addiction treatment, I think sometimes addiction treatment is crucial. Sometimes people get to a point where they need someone to just reach out and help. If you’re dealing with someone who’s addicted in your life, watch intervention and see the difference treatment can make in a person’s life. I think this these things can happen to anyone, so it is important that we be aware of the damage it can to our lives.
