Synchronicity

I recently missed out on Bonnaroo, which I blogged about various times. Bonnaroo is a music festival that happens once a year here in Tennessee. There were tons of awesome bands playing throughout the weekend. As part of their reunion tour, The Police played at Bonnaroo. Even though I didn’t go, my cousin Lesley did and she shared the experience with me.

The Police is such an amazing band and are definitely one of my favorites, even though their final break up right around the time of my birth, I can still love and appreciate wonderful music. My love for The Police began when I was about 12 or 13 and helped me to really starting developing my own musical taste. The Police is a fun and different sort of band and I instantly fell in love. Sting, Andy, and Stewart have been there for me in times when I thought no one else was… I truly feel as though the band has helped me in many, many ways.

On June 5, 2007, a new Police CD was released and it features all of my favorite songs. The tracklisting is:

Trial and error

Today at work my supervisor asked me to fix something on our website. I’d tried fixing this issue before but to no luck… however today I really kept at it, and tried to figure it out. I don’t know much PHP, little to none as a matter of fact. I purchased a book to try and learn it a few weeks ago, but it is a lot to take in.

However after tons of fiddling and fooling around I finally got our websites fixed. I really love that feeling, accomplishment. It’s like, hey, I’ve really got no idea what I’m doing, but I’m so good I can make it work anyway. ;)

Accessories by geeks!

My cell phone is my baby. My brother has gone through cell phone upon cell phone, more phones that I will use in my life I am sure. He just can’t seem to find the right one. While he was testing them out he got a razr and suggested I should too. I got the gunmetal grey v3r and I haven’t wanted another phone since.

I was very excited when I found these Motorola cell phone accessories. I’ve been wanting to get a few things to help my cellphone last. AccessoryGeeks.com carries products that can help protect your phone and even ones that are just for fun—chargers, cases, antennease, charms and more! I think Bluetooth headsets are really great despite the fact that I’d feel like I’m talking to myself. There are plenty to chose from on this site, I think I’ll be here a while!

selective hearing

Something I really seemed to have mastered is tuning things out. I think this comes from a few different things:

1. Ignoring my grandmother, she bitched so much it could make your ears bleed.
2. I worked at a daycare for a little over three years. Quite a few people quit in the time that I worked there, yet no matter who the school hired the children were still wild. Maybe it was me?
3. In between working at the day care I worked for a nonprofit organization that gave mentally handicapped adults the chance to live a life “on their own.” On top of that, I worked there with Amanda. I’m not going to point out who was harder to ignore, I’d hate to hurt Amanda’s feelings. :P
4. My boyfriend talks a whole lot.

A lot of the time I can’t even sit through a movie. I accidentally stop paying attention. It’s funny though, Paul can be across the house when his phone rings, and I hear every word. :D

Fine antique jewlery

I definitely grew up in a house that had an antique or two sitting around. And by an antique or two I mean hundreds. I’m not sure where my grandparents got all of those antiques. I’d say most of them were very pretty, but nothing compared to these estate diamond rings.

Located in San Fransisco, Lang Antique & Estate Jewelry guarantees their diamond information because all of the diamonds have been examined in a certified lab. Some of the rings seem a bit expensive, but reasonable when you take into consideration that they are all hand selected one-of-a-kind works of art.

There are so many beautiful rings I could never pick just one. But wait — there are more! The selection on their website is only a percentage of their collection. They have over 7,000 pieces! I think I’ll tell my boyfriend he can only ask me to marry him if he has one of those rings! :P (a yes is not guaranteed!)

cowboy crush

A group of ladies came by the office today to play some songs for us. This is usually a hit or miss sort of thing because Country music is not something I’m super fond of. Whenever I hear that someone is going to visit I usually expect the worst. They weren’t so bad though, if I were into that sort of thing I’m sure I would have just loved them.

Is everyone going to watch the heiress on Larry King tomorrow night? It just so turns out that this piece of crap TV* my grandfather gave me happens to pick up CNN. Count me in!

*Do not get me wrong I am appreciative of him giving me the TV, it just figures though, that the only TV that I can chose what channel it’s on, only gets about 12 instead of the 80 or howmany channels there are on full basic cable.
