D is for doofus

I am SUCH a doofus.

I use a plugin for iChat called Chax. It is basically a prog that adds miscellaneous features to iChat, most of which I think are really cool. One I use is the tabbed chat window option. I normally only keep conversations that are still going open, which is usually one with Lesley. I like to talk to her while I’m at work (or um, anywhere else, actually).

She was away cleaning and for some reason I decided to keep on bitching about stuff that she probably doesn’t care about anyway. The news went out early at work today so I had extra time to be bored. I told this to her, or at least I THOUGHT I DID. Hours later someone I work with IMed me and when I checked the message I realized that I had been griping to him. Big oops.

Luckily the few lines of convo I did accidentally send him were innocent, I only “somewhat” freaked out.

Celebrity Gossip gets better

This is a sponsored post.

When it comes to celebrity rumors and gossip web sites, I am definitely the woman to call upon for insight. I would say a good majority of the time I spend on the internet is spent viewing such sites.

It’s not that I am obsessed with celebrities or want to be one, I am just fascinated with seeing them be human. I will be the first to admit that I believe a good 99.9% of what I read on said web sites.

CelebrityGossip.com is just that, only with a twist. This site goes beyond getting information out to its readers by allowing them to give input on each post. Members can login to place votes on current stories.

This gossip site is a good one in that there are plenty of updates and, even cooler, a list of celebrity profiles. I can’t count the times that I read a story on one of my favorite sites and thought, “Huh? Who’s that?” On CelebrityGossip.com you can simply look up the celeb to find general information, pictures, and a pretty thorough biography.

This site is going in my bookmarks!

Add a little color to your life

Something that could definitely use some sprucing up at the house would be my mailbox. Mailbox Covers are an easy and inexpensive way to make your mailbox stand out from the rest. Not only do they make your mailbox fun but they help protect it from hot as well as cold weather.

I particularly like the Skeleton Mailbox Cover, I would keep that thing up year round. However if you’re looking for something that is not season specific there are plenty to choose that range from flowers, frogs, birds, and even a few patriotic ones that sport the American flag. Check them out for yourself and feel free to have a matching garden flag!

Rejoice!

Yuck. I’ve been in some sort of weird funk most of the day and I’m not sure why. I thought I started the morning off right.. I woke up and got downtown with enough time left to get a biscuit from McDonald’s and s till only be 30 minutes late for work. Go me!

Because I ate that biscuit though I decided to go to Border’s for my lunch break to look for books. I didn’t find anything good and now I’m just hungry. I have an entire hour left of work and for some reason it feels like centuries.

Thinking on the bright side though, it is Wednesday and not Monday… which means I won’t be here all night.

Bedding by Terry

Sleep is probably one of my favorite things to do, ever. There are times when it seems like I have more bedding than I do clothes, which says a lot considering the large amount of clothes I have.

Terry’s Fabrics offers beautiful quilt covers at extremely low prices. The quilts and duvet covers are super stylish and could definitely work in any room.

I’m having a hard time chosing which one I want! They are all so beautiful!

Making plans to rule the world

Even though I don’t listen to them as much anymore, Goldfinger is still one of my favorite bands. Whenever I listen they take me back to being a wee lass. One memory I have in particular is my brother buying me some CDs for my birthday, the same birthday that my grandparents got me a 3 disc CD changer. I can’t remember exactly but Eric got me the Goldfinger CD, The Dandy Warhols, Blessed Union of Souls (remember that Hey Leonardo song? ahaha. Takes me back)… and probably a few more. I just can’t remember.

I was most excited about the Goldfinger cd though. Ska was definitely my thing growing up and definitely helped define part of who I am. It also gave me a reason to smile because the situation in the home was not a good one. I’ll never forget seeing the “Sell Out” by Reel Big Fish video, where the guy is wearing the fry suit and the lead singer rocks checkered sunglasses. When I saw it for the first time, it was revolutionary. Music was different from that point forward.
