Pee-wee wouldn’t sell his bike for all the money in the world.

This is a sponsored post.

A couple of weeks after I moved into my new house, Lesley and I were out gallivanting when we saw two red old school cruiser bikes in someone’s yard, we assumed for sale. We kept on about our day for a little while until we couldn’t stop thinking about the bikes and decided to go ahead and go see what the deal was.

It turns out they were selling the bikes for $20 a piece, and it just so happened that we both had $20 on our person. I was so excited because I had been wanting a bike like that for ages, and finally one fell into my lap for really cheap!

I found a web site with beach bikes that aren’t exactly $20 but extremely inexpensive for a brand new bike. I am really considering getting one, even though I have my old Western Flyer, the paint is faided and the handles are rusty. These bikes are shiney and brand new, and soo pretty.

The bikes are bought mostly by peple in California as they are beach bikes, but they have customers located in all 50 states, which is nice for a lil ole Tennessean like me. We don’t have any beaches, but I totally want one of these pretty little beach bikes.

punkinhead

I’ve been noticing lately that my little baby Lola Bean is getting all grown up. She turned a year in April, and come August I will have had her for a year. I definitely don’t miss her puppy days… all the chewing and the wining. I can actually let her run about the house when no one is home without coming home to massive amounts of damage done to wires and blankets and what have you.

Then again it’s sad to see her get bigger. I hate the idea of ever not having her around. Which is why she’s gonna live forever and ever and ever.

Payperpost aquires more money than I will ever see

This is a sponsored post.

When I was trying to decide if I wanted to test out payperpost I read a few different articles on the matter… some where negative and some positive, but I noticed PPP was receiving a lot of flack about mucking up blogs and “corrupting the blogosphere.” After joining (and enjoying!) payperpost I definitely disagree. Payperpost has implemented a set of blog ethics for its bloggers to follow so that advertisers, bloggers, and readers can all get along.

I have been a member of payperpost since the end of April and I truly enjoy being a part of such a fast growing website. I am thrilled with the ease of using payperpost, not to mention the extra financial comfort it brings! Currently I am trying to save for a riding lawn mower for my new home. I love the idea that I can use payperpost to save money for larger things that I need. It’s really hard for me to take money out of my paycheck and set it aside. With payperpost the money deposits right into my paypal account, meaning it is already set aside and I can deposit it into my bank account whenever I want.

Today I learned that Payperpost acquired 7 million dollars in funding. That is sooo much money, and though I don’t know how much it costs to do things on a large scale, it seems like PPP could do just about anything they wanted with $7 mil.

So what should they do with the money? I think it would be neat if they offered automobiles that are covered in custom PPP decals that posties could win through various opportunities or contests. It’s a pretty random idea but if they gave out a hundred cars that is a lot of practically effortless advertising, and lord knows I wouldn’t mind driving a car that supports my favorite website!

Blogging Marketplace Secures $7 Million Series B

Draper Fisher Jurvetson leads round and joins Board of Directors

ORLANDO, FL – (June 12, 2007) – PayPerPost, the leading marketplace for advertisers to reach bloggers and other consumer content creators, today announced it has completed a $7 million second round investment led by Draper Fisher Jurvetson, an investor in the company’s Series A and one of the world’s leading high-technology venture capital firms. The financing brings the total amount of capital raised by PayPerPost to over $10 million, giving the company considerable resources for further development as the industry’s leading Consumer Generated Advertising marketplace. Additional participants in the round include existing investors Inflexion Partners and Village Ventures as well as new investor DFJ Gotham. With this investment, DFJ Managing Director Josh Stein also joins PayPerPost’s Board of Directors.

“PayPerPost created this exciting new advertising space and has established itself as the industry leader,” said Ted Murphy, chief executive officer of PayPerPost. “Although we’ve only used a portion of our first round capital, this added support from investors unlocks significant growth potential. Our content creator and advertiser ROI metrics clearly demonstrate the upside for PayPerPost’s model. We intend to use this capital to build the infrastructure, visibility and professional expertise necessary to reach and retain a greater network of advertisers and content creators than ever before.”

Since its founding in June of 2006, PayPerPost has signed more than 6,500 advertisers to its groundbreaking service, which has enabled Consumer Content Creators to be compensated for their efforts discussing specific companies, products or services via blogs, videos or other media. The content creators are required to disclose relationships with advertisers on their blog, providing transparency for the end reader. Over 125,000 Internet postings, most in the form of blogs, have already earned money for their creators through PayPerPost’s innovative marketplace. PayPerPost recently released PayPerPost Direct, a disruptive new service that allows advertisers to contract and negotiate directly with individual bloggers they identify through a safe, managed system.

“PayPerPost has laid a strong foundation for the future,” noted Tim Draper, founder and managing director of Draper Fisher Jurvetson. “It continues to attract a critical mass of participants from both the advertising and blogging communities. Analogous to Overture’s sponsored search model, we believe PayPerPost’s business model holds disruptive potential and will enable the company to thrive in the evolving paid-content arena.”

To mark the $7 million dollar funding, PayPerPost has launched a new website detailing the company’s service offering at http://www.payperpost.com. Bloggers and advertisers can easily sign up at the site and begin leveraging the self service marketplace.

Paris Hilton is a racist, STD infested H-O-E

I’m so glad that it’s finally Tuesday and not Monday. I don’t have to work a 13 hour shift today, and if all goes well, I should be on my way home in about 3 hours. YES. I love that place, home.

In other news, not shit is going on with me. Just working as usual and being an internet addict. I’ve been trying to work on a new layout for kelleyroo. Already! Hell I don’t think this site will ever get a new one :P Well, maybe.. it’s just, I think the layout is so pretty and it saddens me to think I won’t be able to look at it all the time. Maybe I’ll just keep it forever, who knows.

Speaking of layouts, the internet, and my addiction I stumbled onto a handful of blogs yesterday that I adore. I was worried that there weren’t anymore sites like that out on the internet but it turns out I’ve just been doing a shitty job at blog-hopping. When you visit the links on shitty sites, they’re usually linking to other shitty sites. If you can find one good one, chances are they’ve linked to lots of cool people with great blogs. Thank you wonderful people for reinstilling my faith in the internet.
