I’m really thoroughly pumped about getting my knees into some dirt this weekend, hopefully making my yard a little more put together and a little less white trash. I mean, it’s not SUPER white trash, but let’s just say the bushes are dead. There are no pretty flowers or nice grass. The people who previously owned the house must’ve been pretty scary.

I decided to check out Home Depot’s website to get some sort of idea of what this mess was going to cost me… I had NO IDEA you could get a tree for like $20! That almost seems ludacris… I’m about to check the flowers because that is what I really want. Flowers along the front of the house and bushes and trees and oh my. And oh I just can’t wait until we get to the back. Three-fourths of an acre I’ve got to play with. This is gonna be tough!

I’m so happy that it’s friday I feel like dancing. I’m so tired of work, I just need to relax. What I’m really hoping to get done this weekend is pay my grandfather a visit. I need to pay him for the materials he bought to fence in my backyard. It is FABULOUS. We can let the dogs run and play as much as they want… Lola Bean and Jasper can squeeze through and get out… but Lola doesn’t show much interest in wanting out unless we leave the fence. We’ll get that fixed eventually.

I’d also like to do some yard work. The inside of the house is mostly transformed, there are only 3 areas that need painting, one of which I won’t bother with until Kristen and Jacob have left. The hallway’s going to get some purple paint, the (eventual) den will probably end up with some random color like tope or the color of a Mocha Frappuccino from Starbucks. hahah. I like those entirely too much.
