Lately I’ve been having a hard time fighting the urge to buy massive amounts of web space, but last night I caved. I was up really late doing the usual, fiddling with things.. bitching with Eric and talking to Lesley… Eric and I were discussing how shitty of a host Netrillium is. So we started looking into switching hosts and found hostgator, who in only a little over 24 hours kicked netrilium’s ass.
It was a night full of emotion because at first I signed up for a plan that did not come with what I wanted. Note to self: reading helps. Then I nearly collapsed from being a little to excited that we ended up with a reseller account and massive, massive amounts of space. But, it never fails… we totally broke our websites like 800 times in the span of 2 hours while trying to get them transferred. I think we eventually gave up at about 3:30 in the morning. We got it all worked out though, it’s them Keith genes.
I hate to completely steer this blog in a new direction, but it is now 4:06 am and I think I just overheard an all out brawl in my apartment’s parking lot. Sounded like someone got mugged. I know I heard, “let go of me you cock sucker!!!” at least 9 times. I hate living in an apartment. Tomorrow I plan to go visit my grandfather to hear how the house hunt is going. I hope it’s going, at least.
Speaking of going I should probably get going cause going is what I gotta get. Just another day in the life of a Nerd.
HOLY SHIT! Thats kinda scary..what you heard out your window..
How much space did you get with your new plan?
Netrillium has definitely gone down hill since 2004, and I really feel sorry for people that end up getting the shaft from them in regards to hosting, and domain registrations. So long as you make others aware of Netrillium, that’s all that matters!
The only downfall about Hostgator is just their prices for some of their plans. The space/bandwidth are a lot lower versus what other companies charge. Surpasshosting.com is a fantastic host, and their cheapest plan is $15/mo with 20gb disk space and 2TB of bandwidth. You get WHM/Cpanel, and unlimited features, as well as PHP4/5.
They also do cPanel transfers, so if you find out that you don’t like Hostgator, you can always have them transfer your account over free of charge.
During my sweet insomnia I was researching Cherokee/Melungeon ancestry and came across this website that described physical characteristics of people who have Native American ancestry..and look what I found:
Crooked fingers particularly the little finger or pinky
